I liked the stillness of this shot. I was asked to do a few photos at my cousin's service. I felt weird but managed to be unobtrusive.
Very well done, Myrna.
I like the way you are shooting from behind the chairs; it adds a sense of respectful distance.
You are right about the stillness.
And I like the way you have just one person quietly standing. Whether our own or someone else's, death is something we ultimately face alone, even when others are there to support us along the way.

I like this. It makes me realize that someday when I am gone, someone will remember me and the good times I left in their stories of our youth. Good job again...why did it take so long to submit?

I wasn't sure I wanted to put up one of the service. She was a sweet lady and died young of cancer (only 60). I also know that sometimes her mother looks at my site. Her mother is 90 years old and simply marvelous. Anyway, thanks for the very very nice comment.
Thanks for that lovely comment, Steve. I only shot about 6 images that evening. There were many many people there but I waited until most were gone and tried very hard not to be intrusive (no flash, of course). My cousin was only 60 and it was very hard for her sister and mother particularly.

Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. We see the best of ourselves in our forgiveness of others; we see the kinship of mankind through the independence of our spirit.
